Terms of Service

Effective Date: March 9, 2026

1. Service Description

Basalt Logic provides AI-powered voice agents and lead management services for local businesses. Our service answers inbound calls, collects caller information, and delivers summaries to the business owner via email. Services are custom-built per client and may include web chat agents and other AI-powered solutions as agreed upon.

2. Service Limitations

Basalt Logic does not guarantee 100% call capture or uninterrupted uptime. The client is solely responsible for configuring call forwarding from their existing phone number to the Basalt Logic number. Missed calls due to incorrect forwarding setup are not the responsibility of Basalt Logic.

AI-generated responses are designed to be accurate and professional, but Basalt Logic does not guarantee the accuracy of all agent responses. Clients should inform us promptly of any issues so they can be corrected.

3. Data Retention

Call data, transcripts, and lead records are retained for up to 12 months and purged thereafter. We retain this data to improve your agent's performance over time — reviewing interactions allows us to refine how your agent responds, catch edge cases, and ensure it keeps getting better. Clients may request deletion at any time by contacting peter@basaltlogic.io. Upon termination, client data remains accessible for 30 days before permanent deletion.

4. Subscription & Cancellation

Services are billed monthly. Either party may cancel with 30 days written notice to peter@basaltlogic.io. No refunds for partial months. Founding client rates are honored for the agreed-upon term and revert to standard pricing thereafter.

5. Intellectual Property

Basalt Logic retains ownership of all agent configurations, system prompts, and underlying logic. Client-specific data — including call logs, transcripts, and lead records — belongs to the client and will be made available upon request or at termination of service.

6. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for ensuring their use of Basalt Logic's services complies with applicable laws, including regulations governing the recording of phone calls in their jurisdiction. Clients must notify Basalt Logic of any changes to their business that may affect how the agent should respond.

7. Limitation of Liability

Basalt Logic is not liable for missed leads, lost business, or damages arising from service interruptions, call forwarding failures, or AI response errors. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid in the month in which the issue occurred.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Clients will be notified of material changes via email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
